Labor Day Weekend

Its been a busy weekend for us but we've sure had a lot of fun! Friday morning I sent my employers off for their holiday weekend and got most of the day to myself. I ended up getting a lot done, including taking a load of stuff to the dump, a second load of stuff to donation and a lot of things done around the house. Two thumbs up to Phil for starting to clean out some things from the storage unit...2 car loads gone is a big step in the right direction! :) Later that day Phil and I spent some time cutting firewood in the backyard. We cut most of the tree down a few months ago but we've had a big pile of branches left waiting to be cut down so we made a big dent in that project as well...naturally we pick the hottest days possible to do this sort of thing but still...good to get some of it done! We're planning our Halloween party and hoping if weather cooperates that we can do part of it outside so we're going to be busy in the next month or so working on getting it in better order. Saturday we got to help some friends out who just moved into a new home. They had a lot of work to do at their old house getting it ready to put on the market and we got the chance to help. It was actually a lot of fun hanging out with them and they were kind enough to treat us to dinner that evening which was a blast :) Thanks Edward and Roseanna! Hope to hang out more soon! Since our morning helping friends turned into an all day event we didnt' get to head up to the trailer until Sunday morning but we had a lot of fun while we were there! We made smores (with york patties and Reese's PB cups! YUM!), played games and swam in the lake (complete with jumping off the dock pics!) Always a fun time at the trailer!
